Home Inspections are typically requested by attorneys, mediators and/or the court when there is concern with the safety and/or cleanliness of the non-custodial parent’s place of residence. A licensed professional will come out to the home to inspect safety issues such as smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, electrical outlet covers or any other child proofing measures. Inspection of other items such as meeting the developmental needs of the child and cleanliness are included.
Unfortunately, when there are custody and parent time disagreements, it is the result of distrust and feelings of betrayal experienced by one or both parents. This is a service that is provided to offer a sense of safety and security.
Once the home has been inspected a report will be written and submitted to the attorneys and court involved. It is importance to note, we cannot guarantee that the living environment will be maintained once the inspection is completed.
Cost for this service is $150 per inspection.
